Meet the teacher...

My name is Natalie Branda and I am just beginning my second year of teaching. My husband, Greg, and I live in Plymouth and we are expecting our first child in January. Together, we like to watch all kinds of sports, play sports, cook, and hang out with our friends.
There are four teachers aides in the room this year. Sherri Maxwell has worked with previous teachers in the room and has great knowledge about the kids and loves them dearly. Laura Garza has also worked closely with Sherri and previous teachers. She is very crafty and she is the one to thank for all of the cute crafts that we send home with your children. Beth Browning is new to our room. She started in January of last year and has grown to love all of the students. New to our room this year is Tracy Blaney! We are so very excited to have her a part of our group as she is so great with the kids. She has been a substitute teacher/aide many times so she is familiar with the set up and kids and the kids are familiar with her.
I was born and raised in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School. I then went to Purdue University for a year before transferring to Indiana University South Bend to finish out my collegiate career where I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.
In my spare time, I like to bake and watch and play sports. My favorite college team in Notre Dame, baseball team are the Cubs, NBA team are the Bulls. I don't mind watching and participating in the other sports but I don't have favorite teams.
I love children and especially love teaching them. I have a special place in my heart for children with special needs and have found great joy in helping them become the best they can be. The picture on the top of this page is a great reminder for all of us that with time, love, and caring, something so small can become something very big and I believe that for all kids.

Our Students
The picture above is from Christmas 2013. I will get a new class picture from the beginning of school up as soon as possible. The kids have changed so much!
